Obituary of Joan Teresa Nickerson

Nickerson, Joan Teresa nee Haskins, of Woodbury, NJ; passed away on February 3, 2008; Aged 68 years. Joan was a woman who had little but gave so much of not only her time but of herself. She was a woman of strong faith and was dedicated to many of the local charities. In her spare time, Joan enjoyed crocheting, reading and she also had a love for animals. She was also an avid NASCAR and Jeff Gordon fan. Joan will be sadly missed by her family and friends. Devoted Mother of Diane Patrick Haskins and Michele L. Tom Hamilton; Loving Grandmother of Chelsea Kevin, Danielle, Tara Teresa and was extremely excited about the upcoming arrival of her first great grandchild; Dear Sister of Jackie Haskins. Also survived by a cousin, Frances Rohach and many devoted friends. Born in Gloucester City, NJ, Joan was a resident of Woodbury for the past 60 years and a longtime devoted parishioner of St. Patrick's RC Church. She was also a dedicated employee of Underwood Memorial Hospital for 12 years. Viewing on Saturday, 10:00 to 11:15 AM at St. Patrick's RC Church, Euclid and Cooper Street, Woodbury, NJ, where the Mass will follow at 11:30 AM.
