Olivo, Anthony M. Sr., of Woodbury on February 6, 2008. Aged 86 years Husband of the late Eleanor nee Carbone. Father of Carol and her husband Domenic Massare, Paul Olivo and the late Anthony M. Olivo, Jr. Daughter-in-law of Terese Olivo. Grandfather of Anthony M. Olivo, 3rd and Angela M. and her husband Frank Milone. Greatgrandfather of Frank A. IV, Julia Ann and Theodore J. "TJ" Milone. Brother of Albert, Charles & Thomas Olivo, Margaret Cerri and Sadie Galm. Predeceased by brothers Basil, Joseph and Frank. Also survived by many beloved nieces and nephews. Tony Olivo was a strong-willed man who could easily show you his gentle side. He was a wonderful dancer and watching Tony and Eleanor dance to the Big Bands and even disco was unreal. He enjoyed building model airplanes and repairing anything with an engine - a true Mr. Fix-it. Tony served on the USS Wisconsin in the Pacific Theater during World War II. When he returned home, he became a pipefitter in Local #322. Tony and Eleanor loved to travel. There were many trips to Europe and Hawaii. He was a member of VFW Post #2174. Viewing Tuesday evening after 6:30 PM and Wednesday from 8:30 - 9:30 AM in McGuinness Funeral Home 34 Hunter St. Woodbury.
