Obituary of William L. Santry

SANTRY—William L., Sr. of Woodbury on Feb. 24, 2008. Aged 78 years. Bill was born and raised in North Philadelphia, but has called Woodbury home for the past 33 years. He held a Master's Degree in Political Science and History from Villanova University. Bill chaired the history department at Clearview Regional High School, Mullica Hill, where he taught for 22 years until his retirement in 1991. He was passionate about American and military history and could often be found enjoying a good book on the topic. Bill was a devout member of St. Patrick's Church and served as a lector there for many years. He was the devoted father of James and William L. Santry, Jr. Anne, dear brother of Helen Shields Daniel. Viewing Wed. 6:30-9 PM and Thurs. 8:30-9:15 AM in the McGuinness Funeral Home, 34 Hunter St., Woodbury, NJ. Funeral Mass Thurs. 10 AM in St. Patrick RC Church, Woodbury, NJ.
