Obituary of Helen D. Conway

Helen D. Conway, (née Traum) age 85, of Mantua, NJ passed peacefully on May 20, 2018.

Legacy

Helen was a giving and caring mother to so many who gave them each unconditional love. She dedicated many years as the Borough Clerk to the Woodbury Heights Borough Hall, and also as bank clerk with the former West Deptford Bank. She was an active member with the Senior Citizen’s group, and enjoyed many games of Bingo and card games with girlfriends. She really loved Thelma and Louise antics with her sister-in-law, Marie, but her true joy in life was being a mother to six, but mothered many more, especially the Traum’s.

Beloved wife of 64 years to the late John E. Conway Sr.; Devoted mother of Joanne Kivlen (Joe), Keith Conway, Rick Conway, Maureen Farrell (Bruce), and the late Joseph Conway and John Conway Jr. (survived by Marjorie ‘Cookie’ [Michael Thompson]); Cherished grandmother of John Conway III (Melissa Brown), Christen, Joseph (Samantha Comdico), and Sydney (Molly Hubert); Precious great grandmother of Anthony, Cylas, and Rayanna; Adored daughter of the late Katheryne (née Osman) and Francis E. Traum Sr.; Dear sister to the late Kathleen Tarantino (Frank), Robert Traum (Dolores), James Traum (Marie), Francis E. Traum Jr., and sister-in-law to John Gyza (the late Ruth); Treasured aunt to many.

Viewing Thursday from 9:30 to 10:45 AM at Church of the Incarnation, 240 Main St., Mantua, NJ 08051; Funeral Mass 11:00 AM; Interment New St. Mary’s Cemetery, Bellmawr, NJ.

The family would like to acknowledge the loving care given to their mom by the staff at Shady Lane Nursing Home.
