Obituary of Cornelius J. Sweeney

Cornelius  "Cheesie" J. Sweeney,  of Gloucester City, New Jersey, passed away on Wednesday, May 16, 2018.  He was 71.
 
Legacy
Cornelius was a loving, good hearted, and giving father, grandfather, husband and companion. He was the life of the party, and enjoyed going to the beach, tanning, gambling, playing cards and drinking beer. Cheesie also loved spending time with his family (especially his grandkids), and his cats, and listening to Frank Sinatra. Cheesie will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
 
Family
He is the beloved companion to Rose Hilliard; devoted father of Allyson Paley (Bob), Neil Sweeney Jr., and Ashley Sweeney; Cherished grandfather of Madison, Dylan, Camryn, Cole, Brooklyn, Hayden, and Holland;  Special uncle to many nieces and nephews.

Farewell Tribute
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his visitation on Wednesday, May 23, 2018 from 6 - 8 PM at the McGuinness Funeral Home 34 Hunter Street, Woodbury, NJ.  A Memorial Service will follow at 8 PM.  Interment will be private.
