Irwin Lawrence (Larry) Busch of Woodbury Heights, NJ

 

Larry Busch, age 94, died peacefully at home on April 30, 2023 surrounded by his beloved family.

Legacy

He was born November 9,1928 in Philadelphia, PA, the son of Edward and Leonora Busch. Larry graduated from Collingswood High School, Class of 1946. Following graduation, he worked for RCA building television sets then joined the Army in 1948 where he served in Korea and Japan until leaving the Army in 1950. He returned to RCA in various roles and retired as a Systems Analyst in 1990 at the age of 60.

Larry, also known as daddy, DaDa, Datch, Uncle Lar, Buschman and the Great White Knight of Woodbury Heights enjoyed watching the History Channel, Turner Classic Movies, reading books about World War II, playing games on his iPad, bowling and solving jigsaw puzzles. He loved sports and was a longtime Phillies, Eagles and Flyers fan. He also loved to travel and in 2007 fulfilled his dream of visiting France and the Normandy beaches with his wife Betty. His favorite past time was spending time with family.

Family

In addition to his parents, Larry was predeceased by his beloved wife Betty and brothers, Ed, Gil, Bob and Ken. Larry is survived by daughters Lori Busch (Dan Rink), Kristi Busch Schaffer (Brian), Daria Busch and Bonnie Busch, grandchildren Jarod, Kelli and Aubrey Koenig, stepsons Louis Faragalli (Monica) and Lawrence Faragalli (Priscilla), step grandchildren Lawrence (Susan) and Christian Faragalli, Marissa Braun (John), step great grandfather to John and Skyler Braun, nephew Billy Braaksma (Kimmy) and many more nieces and nephews.

Larry will be remembered as a devoted and loving father, stepfather, grandfather and uncle. We will forever savor the cherished memories.

A Private Service for the family will be held at Lakeview Memorial Park, Cinnaminson.
