Obituary of Albert J. Kazunas

The family of Albert Joseph Kazunas, born June 8, 1929, of Cinnaminson, NJ is sad to announce his passing on Thursday, March 23, 2023, at the age of 93.     

Legacy

Al was the devoted husband to his dear late wife Catherine Jane Kazunas for 64 wonderful years.
He was a Catholic parishioner of St Charles of Borromeo Church in Cinnaminson since its founding in 1961, as well as a past President of the Holy Name Society.  
He was Honorably Discharged as a Sergeant from the US Army in 1953 after serving a tour in Europe during the post-World War II tensions.  Shortly after his Army discharge, he married Catherine, started a family, finished his bachelor’s degree from St. Joseph’s University all while working a full-time job as an accountant with Atlantic Richfield Company for the next 35 years.   


“Big Al” will always be known for his booming laugh, his love for fishing and boating, and his famous crab eating parties.  

Family

Al was a loving father to his 5 children Kathleen Coe, Teresa Luaces (Victor), Linda Hooper (Lawrence), Mary Ellen Wood (Timothy), and Stephen Kazunas (Lisa). He was a proud grandfather to Monica Cohen (Eric), Kristen Hitchcock (Tyler), Joanna Coe Hartsfield (Ryan); Erin Luaces; Phillip Hooper; Julia Wood, Matthew Wood (Marissa), Jaclyn Wood, Kevin Wood; Christopher Kazunas; and Nathaniel Kazunas.  Al was also a great-grandfather to Scarlett and Aiden Cohen, and Lexi and Chloe Hitchcock.  
 

Farewell Tribute

Memorial Mass will be held Tuesday, April 18, 2023 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Charles Borromeo Church 2500 Branch Pike, Cinnaminson, NJ 08007.
