Obituary of Teresa Carol Spence

Teresa "Terri" Carol Spence (Sumpter), passed away peacefully on Friday, January 27, 2023.  She was 77.
 
Legacy
Terri was born and raised in Durham, North Carolina, where she met the love of her life, Bernie, while walking on the Carolina Beach.  They married shortly after meeting and have been together ever since.  After marrying, they moved to Philadelphia, and then, lastly, Sewell, NJ.  
Terri was the best stay-at-home mom ever.  She worked at Sears before raising her children, and then later, Zallie's ShopRite in Mayfair section of Philadelphia.   She loved the beach, butterflies and humming birds, and enjoyed vacationing in Cozumel, Mexico with her husband.
The best surprise of her later years was becoming a loving and nurturing  Nana to Cameron & Kaleigh.    

Family
She is the beloved Wife of 53 years to Bernard N. "Bernie" Spence; loving and best mom to Lori Spence and John Spence (Tyler); cherished Nana to Cameron Punches & Kaleigh Spence; dear sister of Toni Barrett, Deena O'Neil and the late Ken Carthen; sister-in-law of George (Penny), Francis (Danielle), Cecelia (Ted), Richard (Karen) & Tricia (Greg).
 
Farewell Tribute
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her visitation at the McGuinness Funeral Home, 573 Egg Harbor Road, Sewell, NJ 08080,  on Monday, February 6, 2023, from 10 am to 12 pm.  Funeral Service will begin at 12 pm, followed by committal services at Gloucester County Memorial Veteran's Cemetery, Williamstown, NJ.  All are invited to celebrate Terri's life!
