Obituary of Harry James Rafferty

Harry James Rafferty, of Turnersville, New Jersey, passed away on Saturday, September 17, 2022.  He was 66.
 
Legacy
Harry was born and raised in Philadelphia, PA where he attended St. Joachim's Elementary and North East Catholic High School.  As soon as he graduated, he enlisted into the US Army to serve his country.  He served a tour in Savannah, Georgia and then was stationed at Ft. Indiantown Gap, Annville, PA, where he was trained as an air traffic controller.  Following his service in the ARMY, Harry worked at the Northeast Philadelphia Tower, the Philadelphia Internation Airport and then the Atlantic City Airport, where he retired from NATCA.  Harry also worked with the Atlantic City Technical Center as a program tester and was a Free Mason and member of the American Legion, Oxley Post in Philadelphia.  

 Family
He is the loving brother of Frank & Arlene Rafferty, Leona & Ed Tosten, Rita Whitehouse, Dennis & Chrissy Rafferty, Liz & Chuck Bissey, Tim & Nancy Rafferty, Chris & Mary Ellen Rafferty.  Beloved uncle of 14 nieces and nephews.
 
Farewell Tribute
In true Harry fashion, and to celebrate his legacy, his family is encouraging everyone to wear a Hawaiian shirt or something festive. 

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his visitation at the McGuinness Funeral home, 573 Egg Harbor Road, Sewell, NJ  08080 on Wednesday, September 28, 2022 from 5 pm to 7 pm.  Funeral Service will begin at 7 pm.   Interment will take place on Thursday, September 29th at 12:30 PM at the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, 60 Indian Gap Road, Annville, PA.  Family and friends will be meeting at the cemetery.
