Obituary of Donald R. Baxter

Donald R. Baxter, of Ft. Pierce passed away on August 19, 2022. He was aged 80 years.

LEGACY
Don was born in Santa Barbara, CA, the son of Arthur & Elsie Baxter. He was a man with many skills, he loved travelling, working with leather crafts, but most of all he loved the casino's. Don also loved westerns, both in books  and the big screen. He joined the Air Force in 1961 and later joined the Navy Reserves. Don had many jobs throughout his life, but he retired from truck driving, where he worked for his son John at "Wilkie Trucking" in Paulsboro.

FAMILY
Don is the beloved husband of the late Rosemarie (nee Messner); loving father of Cynthia (Todd) Smith, Heather (Jeff Rock) Gardner. After meeting the love of his life, Rosemarie, he inherited her 5 children whom he loved as his own, Roseann (James) Gray, Richard (Nancy Bowe) Wilkie, John (Jolanta) Wilkie, Lisa (Billy) Kidd and Tina Smith; grandfather of 15 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren; cherished brother of the late Billy, Otto, Barbara, Allen and his twin sister Bonnie and one great granddaughter, Annalee Rose.

SHARELIFE CEREMONY
Relatives and friends are invited to gather on Saturday, September 24, 2022 after 1 PM in the McGuinness Funeral Home, 34 Hunter Street, Woodbury where his Memorial Ceremony will follow at 2:00 PM.
