Obituary of Kevin A. Sullivan

Kevin A. Sullivan passed away peacefully on Friday, May 6, 2022 surrounded by family. He was 29 years old.

Family

Kevin was the beloved son of David S. and Maureen A. (nee Rusko) Sullivan, cherished brother of Maura (Michael) McIntire, David A. (Rania Boehm) Sullivan, and loving fiancé of Angelie Itaas. He will be sadly missed by Angelie’s parents Tomas and Llane Itaas, and sister Kara. He was the adored nephew of Ellen (Rusko) McKeage, Kathleen Rusko, Trish Kridlow, Vincent Rusko, Joseph Rusko, James and Nubia Rusko, and Robert Rusko. Also, Jonathan, Gail, Samuel and Gayle Sullivan. He was the great nephew of Joseph and Mary (nee Bradley) Harvey.

Legacy

Kevin was born in Philadelphia on April 23, 1993. He was immersed into the Catholic community at an early age, and continued in his faith as he grew. As a young boy, he attended St. Mary’s School in Williamstown, NJ and went to high school at St. Augustine Preparatory School in Richland, NJ. It was at St. Augustine Prep where his love of sports, specifically rowing, and his faith evolved and flourished. He graduated from La Salle University in 2015 with a degree in Criminal Justice, received a varsity letter for rowing all four years of his collegiate career, and obtained a paralegal certification from Villanova University. His most recent employer, Wilbraham, Lawler and Buba P.C., was where he advanced in his field, and was considered an essential member of their legal team.

Ever since he was young, Kevin always loved the beach, especially Cape May, NJ. He would frequently spend hours swimming and surfing in the ocean until the sun set. He loved taking care of his boat at the marina in Cape May and enjoyed working on all types of machinery, including his quad and dirtbike. He loved his dogs and cats, especially his first yellow lab Molly, and his German Shepherd Mila.

Kevin was diagnosed with leukemia in 2020, but never let it get in the way of living his best life. He was always going to the shore or traveling with family and friends. He had the biggest heart and was always so thoughtful and caring in everything he said and did. Out of all his qualities, his strength and resilience was unmatched. His kindness, compassion, and laughter will live on in the memories carried by family and friends.
