Howard Jenkins

Obituary of Howard J. Jenkins

Howard J. Jenkins, 70, of Woodbury Heights, New Jersey, passed away on Sunday, May 1, 2022.

Howard James Stewart Jenkins was born in Audubon, NJ on May 18, 1951 to Howard Henry Jenkins and Rebecca Stewart Jenkins. He entered his eternal life on May 1, 2022 while under hospice care at Laurel Bay Rehabilitation center in Keansburg NJ. Howard suffered from cerebral palsy since childhood. He is now relieved of the multiple limitations the disease caused him. “God saw you getting tired when a cure was not to be. He closed his arms around you and whispered, ‘Come with me’.”

He leaves behind his loving siblings: Margaret Haviland and her daughters, Dawn Haviland and Laurie Zwingli and his brother, Charles W. Jenkins (Lodema) and his son, Charles H. (Ann) Jenkins.

Howard lived with his friends in Beech House, an Association for Retarded Citizens group home in Woodbury Heights, NJ. They, and his caregivers, mourn his passing and will miss him. He loved to watch tv, drive his wheelchair at top speed, laugh and eat hoagies and pizza.
