Rosemarie Rosolia

Obituary of Rosemarie Rosolia

Rosemarie Rosolia (nee Radano), 94, of West Deptford, formerly of Pennsauken, NJ, passed away on Tuesday, April 19, 2022, with her loving family at her side.

Legacy

Born and raised in Camden, New Jersey Rosemarie attended Mount Carmel School and graduated from Camden Catholic High School in 1945. Immediately after school, Rosemarie worked as a phlebotomist and ultimately for Dr. Ralph Lanciano, where she worked in many capacities for over 15 years prior to her retirement in 1997.

In 1959, Rosemarie and the love of her life, Frank, moved to Pennsauken and were active residents until his passing in 2015. A loving and caring lady, Rosemarie was devoted to her faith. They were parishioners of St. Stephen's RC Church where Rosemarie was a member of the Altar and Rosary Society and a past president of the PTA. Because she was devoted to her faith, she wanted to share this with those considering becoming a Catholic, so she joined The Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA) in her early retirement years. She had a passion for reading, especially James Patterson novels. She shared this passion with other adults as she volunteered at the library to help teach others how to read.

Rosemarie was talented at quilting and sewing. Many memories were made during family gatherings where her infamous Italian dishes like meatballs and manicotti were shared. There were also the holiday favorites and traditions like stuffed olives and pizzelles during Christmas and pies at Easter. These were always fun gatherings and all her family including nieces and nephews, looked forward to them.

Of the many titles that Rosemarie answered to, being a grandmother was one that she was particularly proud of. She was able to be very involved in her grandchildren's activities and be their biggest fan. Rosemarie and Frank also enjoyed traveling to places such as Italy and cruising to Alaska, Panama Canal, and the Caribbean.
