Obituary of George Howard McDonald, Jr.

George Howard McDonald, Jr., born in Schenectady, N.Y,  but a resident of West Deptford, New Jersey, for most of his life, passed away on Thursday, March 17, 2022 after a long illness at 67 years old.
 
Legacy
George was an avid Philadelphia Eagles fan, enjoyed watching his nephew play college football at the Virginia Military Institute, and spending time with his entire family. After retiring from the Philadelphia Navy Yard, George enjoyed working for Community Action, an adult learning center and Kingsway Learning Center for children, providing assistance for the disabled community with support, kindness, and love. George was well known to be selfless and humble and enjoyed boating, the beach, off-roading, and traveling during his free time.

Family
George is survived by his loving wife Jossie McDonald (Elazar); devoted father to Allison McDonald and stepson Abimael Rodriguez (Alexis); sister Laura Douglas (Robert); grandchildren Avaya Bowman, Natalie and Dominic Rodriguez; nieces Kimberly Bitcon (Thomas) and Stephanie Brimigion (Zachery) and uncle to Jack, Thomas, Sam Bitcon and Max and Emma Brimigion.
 
Farewell Tribute
A visitation will be on Saturday, April 9, 2022 at 1:00 pm in the McGuinness Funeral Home 573 Egg Harbor Rd, Sewell, NJ  08080 followed by a memorial service at 2:00 pm.
