Obituary of Matthew Randisi

Matthew Randisi, 91, of Pennsauken, New Jersey, passed away on Wednesday, December 1, 2021.

Legacy

Born in Sicily, Italy, Matthew journeyed to Canada in 1951 where he was introduced to the love of his life Rita. Seeking a better life in America, Matthew immigrated to the United States and married his wife Rita in Philadelphia in February of 1952. Matthew became a US citizen on May 3, 1955, in Philadelphia, PA. Matthew and his brother-in-law, William DiCola were the proprietors of a service station in South Philadelphia until 1965. In 1966 and until his retirement, Matthew was a masonry contractor.

A strong-willed gentleman, Matthew had a special bond and love for his grandson, Andrew. Matthew loved baseball and he was an avid fan of the Phillies and enjoyed hunting and trying his luck at the craps tables in Atlantic City.

Family

Beloved husband of the late, Rita (nee Camuccio) for 56 years; loving father of Joseph (Irene) and Stephen; cherished grandfather of Andrew. Matthew is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Farewell Tribute

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Matthew's viewing on Tuesday, December 7th, 2021, from 6PM to 8PM at McGuinness Funeral Home, 34 Hunter Street, Woodbury, NJ 08096. A Mass of Christian Burial for Matthew will be held on Wednesday, December 8, 2021, 10:30 AM at St. Stephen's Roman Catholic Church, 6306 Browning Road, Pennsauken, NJ 08109. Entombment will take place privately.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Matthew's name to the Alzheimer’s Association and Alzheimer’s Foundation of America.
