Obituary of Stanley A. Dell

Stanley A. Dell, 87 of Bridgeton, New Jersey, passed away on Sunday, October 31, 2021, surrounded by his loving family. 

Legacy

Born in Wilkes Barre, PA, Stan was a resident of Washington Township for over 30 years.  Stan was a renowned and gifted dancer, singer, actor, choreographer, master dance teacher and pianist.  He had an extensive career in theater, toured with the Army Show Corps and performed on the Ed Sullivan Show. 

He married the love of his life, Lorraine and together the founded and operated the Dell Theatrical Center for over 30 years in Washington Township and had two other locations in South Jersey.  His students went on to achieve roles on Broadway, theater, movies and television.  His classical style of dance continues with many of his students opening their own schools.

Stan judged many pageants and helped young dancers achieve their goals.  His words of wisdom were taken to heart...phrases like "Look for the best in people,” "Do good works," Never give up and always keep dancing." and "Music gives spirit to the soul."

After retiring, Stan enjoyed traveling, dining, dancing, relaxing in warm climates and playing with his great grandchildren.  

 Family

Beloved husband of 57 years to Lorraine (nee Wible); devoted father of Stanley "Skip" (Theresa) and the late Richard; cherished grandfather of  Taryn (Kevin), Stephen (Brittni), Kristyn, Katelyn, Stefanie (Marco) and great grandfather of  Giavanna, Stevie, Jaxon, Tommy, Luke and Sutton. Stan is survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and his furry Shitzu friend, Roxie.  He is predeceased by 2 brothers and 4 sisters. 

Farewell Tribute

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Stan's viewing on Saturday, November 6, 2021, 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM in the McGuinness Funeral Home, 573 Egg Harbor Road, Sewell, NJ  08080, where the Funeral Ceremony will follow at 12:00 PM.  Interment and Military Honors at Saint Mary's Cemetery, Williamstown, NJ.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Stan's name to your local SPCA.
