Obituary of Catherine N. Ford

Catherine N Ford (Spence), of Clayton, New Jersey, passed away on Sunday, October 17, 2021.  She was 88.

Legacy

Catherine "Cass" was a graduate of Gloucester High School and a college graduate of Glassboro State College where she received a degree in Special Education.  Cass was a Veteran of the United States Air Force and served her country honorably. She was an avid reader and enjoyed "Big Band" music. Catherine was hugely involved in the community, and encouraged coworkers and the various people in her life that she touched to continue and further their education. Her service to the community was vast from owning a day care with her partner Sandy, to being the Supervisor of Education at the ARC in  Pennsauken for 25 years where she provided program supervision disabled adults.

Family

She is the beloved partner of Sandy D. Hickman of 50 years; devoted mother of Barbara Smith (George), Beverly Jatzke (Curt), Linda Ober (Chuck), the late Corrine Harris (Keith), Steven Ford (Cindy), Donna Andersen (Robert), Sandy Hickman, the late Scott Hickman and the late Elaine Langhagen; sisters, the late Anna Mary Davis (Donald), the late Nora Morgan (Edward), the late Jackie Sorenson (Ken), Beverly McClaine (Wilmer), Wilma Cheesman (Joseph) and Kay Melson (George); grandchildren, Christine, Veronica, Carly, Andrew, Stephen, Gregory, Christopher, Katie, Ryan, Brandon, Michael, Corey, Halie, and Ron; great grandchildren, Nathan, Riley, Oliver, Miles, Antonio, Angela, Stephen Jr., Serena, Sophia, Eden, Bianca, Adreanna, Don Jr., Isabella, Carsen, Charlotte and Savannah; great-great grandchild, Damian.

Farewell Tribute

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her visitation at 9:00AM in the McGuiness Funeral Home, 573 Egg Harbor Road, Sewell, NJ. A service will follow at 11am and interment will be at Manahath Cemetery in Glassboro. Share the memories … share love … ShareLife® at www.mcgfuneral.com.
