Obituary of Bernadette M. Rafter

Bernadette M. Rafter, of Woodbury, New Jersey, passed away on Wednesday, July 7, 2021.  She was 62.

Legacy
A beautiful soul that devoted her life to caring for others, Bernadette always put others before herself and was always willing to help.  Bernadette was a Registered Nurse for Cooper University Hospital since 2009, holding many positions among her time there.  She returned to school to achieve her RN after her 4 children were born and recently obtained her Bachelor's Degree.  
Away from work, Bernadette found solace in trips to Wildwood Beach where she would always come home with Douglass Fudge and she loved traveling to wherever she could, especially Ireland.  Spending time with her family and her adored grandchildren was the place Bernadette loved to be most.  

Family
Predeceased by her parents Kenneth and Margaret (nee Hines) Rafter and daughter Erin Buchanan; Bernadette is the devoted mother of Sean Buchanan, Meghan Clements(Billy) and Christopher Buchanan; dear sister to Ken Rafter (Sandy), Billy Rafter (Debbie) and Brian Rafter (Nancy); loving grandmother to Abigail and Cian.  She is also survived by many cherished nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. 

Farewell Tribute
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her visitation on Sunday, July 11, 2021 at 2:00PM in the McGuinness Funeral Home - Woodbury, 34 Hunter Street. A Funeral Ceremony and Words of Remembrance will be held at 4:00PM in the funeral home. 

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Gift of Life Donor Program at Gift of Life Donations
