Obituary of Edwin F Nixon III

Edwin F. Nixon III, 67, of West Deptford, passed away on Wednesday, June 2, 2021.

Legacy

An outspoken guy, Ed was always one to speak his mind, and considered himself the ultimate tie-dyed hippie freak.  Ed was obsessed with tattoos, the Grateful Dead and soulful Blues music; his favorite being BB King.  A deadhead, through and through, “DeadheadEd’s” favorite song was “Box of Rain”  and his motto was “What a Long, Strange Trip its Been.”  Ed enjoyed traveling, especially to Myrtle Beach and Hilton Head, South Carolina.  He also loved riding his Harley, enjoying a good meal and a Bud Lite, while flirting with the waitresses. 

Born in Philadelphia, Ed was raised in The Cramer Hill Section of East Camden.  He has been a resident of West Deptford for the last 16 years.  Prior to retiring, Ed was a long distance, OTR truck driver for DABCO in Tuckerton, NJ. 

Family

Beloved Husband of nearly 16 years to Kathleen M. (nee Siniscalki).  Ed is predeceased by his loving mother, Ruth Prucella Bushnell and his beloved grandmother, Ruth Prucella.  

Farewell Tribute

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Ed’s visitation on Tuesday, June 8, 2021, 5:00 – 6:00 PM at the McGuinness Funeral Home, 34 Hunter Street, Woodbury, NJ where the Memorial Ceremony will follow at 6:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Ed’s name to the Animals Welfare Association of NJ at www.awanj.org.
