Obituary of Joan B. Sparks

Joan B. (nee Welsh) Sparks, 83, of Logan Township, New Jersey, passed away suddenly on Sunday, January 24, 2021.  
 
Legacy
Born and raised in Camden, New Jersey, Joan moved to Lagan Township in the early 1960's.  In her younger years, Joan worked at a sewing factory, Burger King in Gibbstown, Wanamakers in Philadelphia and VWR Plant in Swedesboro.

A kind and gentle lady, Joan was always willing to lend a helping hand.  She enjoyed attending the Renaissance Fair in Pennsylvania, the Pow Wow in Woodstown and playing Bingo with her late husband, John. 

 
Family
Beloved wife of the late, William J. Godfrey, Jr. and John C. Sparks; loving mother of Stella (Robert) Foss, Mary Layman, William Godfrey III, John (Connie) Godfrey and the late Joann Miller; devoted grandmother of Jaime, Sharon, Jeannie, Beth, Casey, Ashley and great grandmother of 9 and great great grandmother of 4; dear sister of Dorothy Strouf and the late Phil Dignan and James Dignan. Joan is predeceased by her mother and father.
 

Farewell Tribute
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Joan's viewing on Tuesday, February 2, 2021, 9:30 - 11:00 AM at the McGuinness Funeral Home, 34 Hunter Street, Woodbury, NJ  08096 where the Funeral Ceremony will follow at 11:00 Am.  Interment at Eglington Cemetery, Clarksboro, NJ.
