Obituary of Joseph Henry Taylor

Joseph Henry Taylor, of Deptford, New Jersey, passed away on Wednesday, December 30, 2020.  He was 66.

 

LEGACY

Joe will be remembered for his love of his country and his family. He proudly served in the United States Marine Corps. for more than 13 years. During his service time, he was awarded the Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Sea Service Deployment Ribbon and the Meritorious Unit Commendation. Following his service time, Joe returned home, met and married his soulmate, Dawn and together they shared 28 years of marriage.

Joe was an outgoing, friendly guy with a heart of gold. He enjoyed bowling and spending time with his two dogs, Shadow and Smoky. He was a member of the Runnemede VFW Post 3324 and the American Legion Post 133 of Woodbury. Joe will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

FAMILY

Joe is pre-deceased by his parents: Wilmer Taylor and Marie Taylor (nee Baschenecker). Joe is the beloved husband of Dawn (nee Lindner); cherished father of Joseph Taylor; loving brother of Barbara St. John, William Taylor, Mark Taylor and Mary Lou Fitzgibbons; the godson/nephew to Aunt Patricia Kloepfer. Joe is

also survived by Aunt Jane Fricke and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends

FAREWELL CEREMONY

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Joe's viewing on Tuesday, January 12 from 6:30pm-8:30pm and on Wednesday, January 13 from 9am –10am, with services to follow at 10am. at the McGuinness Funeral Home, 34 Hunter Street, Woodbury.  Interment with Military Honors will follow in Gloucester County Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Williamstown. Due to the current health crisis, face masks and social distancing will be required. Frr those who cannot attend in person; Joe's Funeral and Interment will also be broadcast by clicking Joseph Taylor Funeral Cremony) In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Marine Corp Toys for Tots, Gloucester County, 210 County House Road, Building E, Clarksboro, NJ 08020, in memory of Joe.
