Obituary of Dolores M. Cordetti

Dolores M. Cordetti (nee Murphy)

Dolores M. Cordetti, a long time resident of Glassboro, NJ, age 90, passed away peacefully on December 21, 2020. Born in Clayton, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Archibald and Rosanna (nee Corsiglia) Murphy. She was the beloved wife of the late Peter E. Cordetti, and the devoted mother of Kathleen (Gregory) Straga and David Cordetti. She was the loving and proud grandmother, known as “MeMom,” to Michael (Anna) Cordetti, Daniel (Audrey) Straga, and Ali (Jason) Di Luigi, and adoring great-grandmother to Isabella and Nicolas Cordetti, and Emma and Abigail Di Luigi. Dolores is survived by her sister, Alfreda Witkowski (Wallace) and predeceased by her sisters Jean Lowrance, Rosemary Riebel, and brothers Archibald Jr. and Joseph Louis. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Legacy

Dolores was proud to share Abraham Lincoln’s birthday and his propensity for being honest. Because of her strong work ethic and attention to detail and rules, she was a valued employee at her jobs which included Curtis Publishing, the Elite Bakery, and Glassboro Public Schools. She was an asset to Pantry Pride, working in “the front end” and retired from K-Mart’s “cash room.”

Memom enjoyed nothing more than her family. She enjoyed going on cruises together, attending the games and dance recitals of her grandchildren, picnics around the pool, and witnessing their graduations and weddings. She always had a joke to share. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

Our family wishes to acknowledge Traditions of Cross Keys for the loving care they provided to our Mother through these challenging times.
