Obituary of Margaret Elizabeth Nerz

Margaret Elizabeth Nerz (née Schneider), 91, formerly of Deptford and Sewell NJ died at Summerhill Assisted Living Facility in Peterborough, NH on November 28, 2020.

Legacy

‘Marge’ was born in Camden, NJ, grew up in Westville, NJ and graduated from Woodbury High School in 1947.  She met her husband Alfred and together they raised their children in Pitman and Ocean City, NJ, and Newark, DE.  In one of her proudest accomplishments, she earned her degree from Glassboro State College, graduating in 1970.  She went on to teach in the Avon Grove PA and Avalon NJ School Districts retiring in 1985.

Marge was a hard worker, with boundless energy. She enjoyed crafts, starting a successful business participating in craft shows throughout South Jersey. She loved learning about other cultures and traveling, visiting the US, Europe and China. She was known for her beautiful flower beds and her great cooking and baking, especially her Christmas cookie and candy trays (but mostly healthy choices). She loved dancing (she could really jitterbug), taking long walks and working out at the gym. Marge was very sociable and enjoyed meeting new people and interviewing them Barbara Walters-style.  She advised her family to always give a compliment and ask other people about themselves. She will be missed.
