Obituary of Sandy Carnuccio

 Santa “Sandy” H. Carnuccio (nee Grasso), 75, of Williamstown, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 26, 2020 surrounded by her loving family. 

Legacy

Sandy was raised in Glassboro, graduated from Glassboro High School, and called Williamstown home for the past 20 years. She worked as an Executive Assistant for the Rowan University School of Business for more than 30 years. She was a loving wife and devoted care giver to her late husband Frank with whom she shared a beautiful 44-year marriage that was filled with love, patience and much happiness. Together they shared an amazing journey, a devotion to family, and an unwavering faith in God which guided them throughout life providing peace and comfort.

Sandy enjoyed traveling, trying her luck at the casino, attending Broadway shows, and entertaining friends and family. She loved to host parties at home where she prepared wonderful and delicious meals and “you were never allowed to leave hungry!” Sandy will be fondly remembered as a loving, passionate woman who was extremely generous and was "everyone's favorite aunt". She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. 

Family

Sandy was the beloved wife of the late Francis “Frank” Carnuccio, cherished sister of Gaetano Grasso, Vito Grasso, Nicholas Grasso, Carmelo (Shelagh) Grasso, Jr. and sister-in-law of Chester Bregler. She was the daughter of the late Carmelo and Santa (nee Calio) Grasso and sister of the late Frances Gilbert, Angelina Bertonazzi, Josephine Witt, Mary Maccarone, Carmela Waldner, Joseph Grasso and Catherine Bregler. Sandy was also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.

Farewell Ceremony

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Sandy’s visitation on Saturday, December 5, 2020, from 8:30AM to 10:00AM, at the
McGuinness Funeral Home, 573 Egg Harbor Road, Sewell (Washington Twp.). Her Funeral Mass will follow at 11:00AM at St. Bridget's R.C. Church, 125 Church Street, Glassboro. Due to the current national health crisis; St. Bridget’s Church is limited to a capacity of 120 including the Celebrant and staff for the Mass. Ennichement will be private. 

In lieu of flowers, Sandy's family requests memorial contributions be made in her memory to the American Diabetes Association at www.diabetes.org.
