Obituary of John J. Fynes

John J. Fynes, 74, of Washington Township, New Jersey, passed away suddenly on September 24, 2020.
 
Legacy
A loving and generous gentleman, John was a social butterfly and made friends easily.  Cherished memories were created while spending time with his family, especially his daughter, Amy, his furry pal, Freddy and his devoted friends.  He had a wonderful sense of humor and spread laughter everywhere he went.  He was lovingly called the "bagel man" by the local Wawa employees where he would get his coffee and bagel everyday.  John was an avid fan of Phillies, Eagles and the Flyers, loved to read, learn about history and kept up with current events...especially politics.   

Born and raised in Philadelphia, PA, John was a resident of Washington Township since 1985.  He was a United States Army Vietnam War Veteran serving from 1968 - 1971.  Prior to retirement, John was a Financial Recruiter. 
 
Family
Beloved husband of the late Donna Lee (nee Hartman) and devoted father of Amy L. Fynes.  John is also survived by his furry buddy, Freddy.
