Obituary of Robert W Benac

Robert W. Benac, age 90, of Woodbury, NJ passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April  7th, 2020, surrounded by his family.

Legacy

Robert retired in 1991 after over 30 years of service at the Glenn Landing Middle School in Blackwood, NJ.  He taught 6 th graders and loved doing so.  He served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict and later became very active in Veterans affairs. He was a member of the American Legion Post #133, Woodbury, NJ for over 50 years. He held various leadership positions at the local, county, and state levels. He will be remembered for his service to our country and also for being an avid Philadelphia Eagles fan. His grandson who he affectionately called "The Smartest Young Man in America" will truly treasure memories of his "Poppie" watching him play little league baseball. 

Family

Beloved husband for 53 years to the late Irene (Szivery) Benac; loving father of Irene K. Randisi & her husband Joseph and also Rosemary Cohen; cherished grandfather of Andrew M. Randisi.

Farewell Tribute

Services are private.  Robert will be interred with his late wife at the Gloucester County Veteran’s Cemetery privately.
