Obituary of Herbert W. Chipman

Herbert W. Chipman, 83, of National Park, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 4, 2020.

Legacy

A loving and caring man, Herb dedicated his life to his family, especially his grandchildren.  He would offer a smile and talk to anyone, always willing to tell a story.  He was a proud member of the United States Marine Corps. Herb was an avid Phillies and Eagles fan.  He enjoyed country music, going out to eat and socializing.

Family

Predeceased by his parents Ellen and Edgar. Brother of the late Robert Chipman a and the late Mary Davis.  Herbert is the devoted husband of over 60 years to the late Doris Chipman; beloved father of Suzanne Baldwin (Garry) and Michelle Flanigan (Steve); loving Pop of Kevin Bass (Christina), Scott Bass, Selena Flanigan, Grace Flanigan and great-grandpop of Ethan Bass; dear uncle and friend to many.

Farewell Tribute

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Monday, March 9th from 10:00AM to 11:30AM at McGuinness Funeral Home, 345 Hunter Street, Woodbury, NJ.  Funeral Service at 11:30AM . Interment Gloucester County Veterans Cemetery, Williamstown, NJ.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Veterans Helping Veterans, 211 County House Rd., Sewell, NJ 08080 or Habitat for Humanity 305 S. Broadway, Pitman, NJ 08071.
