Obituary of Warren L. Allen

Warren L. Allen, 78, of National Park died Wednesday February 12, 2003 in Cooper Medical Center. Mr. Allen was born in Cheyenne, WY. He joined the US Navy and served in World War II and the Korean War. He was a Supervisor of Animal Studies at the University of Pennsylvania Medical School for 25 years until his retirement in 1981. He was an active veteran, serving as Commander of VFW Post 7125 of Verga; and as a member of American Legion Post 133. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus in National Park. Mr. Allen never forgot his Western roots; he particularly enjoyed watching the rodeo. He also liked to golf and fish.. Mr. Allen is survived by his wife of 47 years, Margaret nee Grimaldi; 2 daughters, Connie Habib of Cheyenne, WY and Paula Pine of Hammonton; & a son, Ron Peters of Greeley, CO. Mr. Allen has 7 grandchildren, Casey & Bonnie MacIsaac; Jeana Ruscheinsky Maines; Amy Ruscheinsky; Stuart Rushcheinsky; Ike Fredregill and the late Michael Ruscheinsky. He is also survived by 5 greatgrandchildren. He was predeceased by his brothers, Tom and Bob. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday in the McGuinness Funeral Home 34 Hunter St. Woodbury.
