Obituary of Charles H. Clifford

CLIFFORD, Charles H. ?Chalie?, of Deptford, NJ on March 31, 2003 at home. Mr. Clifford was 63 years of age. Mr. Clifford was born and raised in Deptford. He was a Detective Lieutenant for Deptford Twp. Police Dept., retiring in 2000 . He Graduated from Woodbury High School Class of ?59. He served in the NJ National Guard and attended Sea Girt Police Academy. He was a member of American Legion Post# 133, Moose Lodge #2585, the Emerald Society of NJ Chapter 13, Elks Lodge #2708, the US Army/Navy Garrison 52, Gloucester/Camden, Local 11 and NJ State Policemen?s Benevolent Assn., Local 122. He enjoyed Ocean City, MD, gardening and giving the crops away, hunting, fishing, crabbing, riding his motor cycle and his quad, and working in the police dark room. He lived life just as he wanted to and enjoyed every day. Devoted father of Michael C. Cindy and Frank G. Dear brother of James J. Karen, Patricia A. and Thomas Mary Clifford. Beloved son of the late Horace and Agnes. Grandfather of Trenia and Michelle. He will be sadly missed by special friend of 27 years, Barb Dio and more family and friends than can be named. Previously married to Kathleen ?Penny? Young. Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing Sat. 10-11:45AM in St. Patrick?s RC Church, Woodbury. Funeral Mass 12 Noon. Interment private.
