Obituary of Leona M. Duffy

Duffy, Leona M. nee Reynolds of Glassboro, NJ passed away peacefully in her home on July 19, 2003. Age 86 years. Born and raised in Glassboro, Leona was a member of the Glassboro High School Class of 1934 where she began the Girl's Basketball Program and was inducted to the Glassboro High School Athletic Hall of Fame. She later moved to Philadelphia, earned her R.N from Misericordia Hospital, raised six children and later worked for Dr. John Pfister. Mrs. Duffy and her husband then retired to Glassboro to live in the home where she was raised and was a member of the Glassboro High School Class of 1934 Monthly Gang, a parishioner of St. Bridget's Church and St. Bridget's Prayer Group. She will be remembered as a loving woman and an avid sports fan. Leona is predeceased by her parents Everett L. and Sarah Reynolds, her husband T. Paul Duffy and her daughter Helen "Honey" Duffy. She is the beloved mother of , Thomas P. Duffy Mary, Betsy Erace, Leona "Missy" Oleaga Felix , Andrew Duffy Bernadette and Rita Smith Daniel. Grandmother of 20 and Great grandmother of 5. Also survived by a loving cousin, sisters in law, nieces and nephews. Viewing Thursday morning 10 to 11:30 AM in St. Bridget's R. C. Church 125 Church Street, Glassboro, NJ.
