Obituary of Patricia A. DiSimone

Patricia Ann DiSimone (nee Votteler),81 , passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Monday, December 23, 2019. 
 
Legacy
There was no greater joy for Pat than her role as a loving and caring wife, mother and Mimi, as she was affectionately called by her grandchildren.  She enjoyed the closeness of family and friends and never turned down an invitation to have lunch with the girls or shop with her daughters. With  her beloved husband Sam , Pat spent many  years enjoying their home in Ocean City,  Maryland, fishing on their boat “Dutchess” named after her Father. Not one to relax, but when she did, Pat enjoyed curling up with a good book and a glass of chardonnay, she was an avid reader. Pat listened to music often, especially Elvis Presley and Frank Sinatra, as both reminded her of the love she shared with Sam. She loved to travel and some of her favorite places included Italy, Germany, France and Austria. To many, including her family,  Pat was a classy lady with a beautiful spirit and full of grace.

 
Family
She is the beloved wife of 54 years to the late Samuel DiSimone, Jr.  Devoted mother of Denise DiSimone (Ed Mulligan), DeAnna DiSimone and Samuel DiSimone, III (Denyse).  Treasured Mimi of Alyson, Dean and Olivia.  Daughter of the late Helen and Erwin Votteler.  Dear sister of the late Erwin "Dutch" Votteler, Helen LaPorta and Wilhemina Helms.  She will be missed by nieces, nephews, family and friends.
 
Farewell Tribute
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing on Sunday, December 29th from 6:00PM to 8:00PM and Monday, December 30th from 8:30AM to 9:30AM in the McGuinness Funeral Home - Woodbury, 34 Hunter Street, Woodbury, NJ 08096.  Funeral Mass at 10:30AM in HOLY ANGELS PARISH-ST. PATRICK'S CHURCH, 64 Cooper Street, Woodbury, NJ 08096.  Interment Eglington Cemetery Clarksboro, NJ. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in her memory to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital-www.stjude.org. or Abramson Cancer Research-pennmedicine.org.
