Obituary of Lucy T. Contarino

Lucy T. Contarino nee Carmosino, 97, of Woodbury Heights on October 3, 2003 in the Manor Care Nursing Home. Beloved wife of the late Salvatore. She is survived by her daughters Marian Marcone and her husband, Sam; Helen Grant and Lorraine Farrell and her husband, Jack. She was predeceased by her son, Vincent and her daughter Lillian Stout. Mother-in-law of Julie Contarino. Grandmother of 14. Great-grandmother of 30. Mrs. Contarino was born in Manhattan. She came to Woodbury Heights to live after World War II. Mrs. Contarino was an enthusiastic traveler. She traveled throughout the United States and Europe. In the 1950s, her husband, Salvatore and she returned to Italy to operate a vineyard. They returned to Gloucester County and opened the Swedesboro Custard Stand. Mrs. Contarino will always be remembered for her love of family and friends ? often sharing picnics, trips and social events. A visitation will be held on Tuesday at 12 Noon in the MCGUINNESS FUNERAL HOME 34 Hunter Street Woodbury. Funeral services will begin at 1:00 PM Tuesday in the funeral home.
