Obituary of Betty Jo Paino

Betty Jo Paino (nee Godfrey), 73, of Marlton, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 19, 2019.  Her cause of death was Alzheimer's disease, which she spent more than seven years succumbing to and was diagnosed in 2015 early onset.  
 
Legacy
Born and raised in Pennsauken, NJ, graduated from Pennsauken High School Class of 1964. A strong, independent woman and she dedicated herself to her family and friends.   She lived in Middletown, NJ for over 30 years, where she raised two daughters and was a fabulous dance mom, gymnastic mom, color guard mom and working mom.  Betty Jo spent many happy summers in Long Beach Island with her sisters, and brought her kids up to love the beach club and the shore.  She enjoyed gardening and sewing for her family, she spent several years making wreathes, selling produce and plants while owning and operating the Belford Farm Market (sold in 1985) with then-husband John.  She worked for Atlantic Richfield for many years in Philadelphia, New York City and Los Angeles.  She also worked as paralegal for Real Estate Law Firms Thomas G. DiGiovanni and Ansell, Grimm & Aaron.

Family
She is the devoted mother of Christy Croisetiere (Louis) and Caroline Leipf (Phillip, Jr.).  Adored grandmother of Annabelle, Jane, Aaron, who knew and loved her dearly; plus twins Ethan and Victoria born in 2018.  Daughter of the late Elizabeth and John Godfrey.  Dear sister of Suzanne Godfrey and Jeanette Rue (James).  Her ex-husband John C. Paino.  She will be missed by family and friends. 
 
Farewell Tribute
Services will be private by the request of the family.  In lieu of Service or Flowers, Caroline and Christy are coordinating a charity fundraiser for the Longest Day, June 20, 2020, supporting the Alzheimer's Association.
