Obituary of Bob DiCamillo

Robert (Bob) DiCamillo died peacefully surrounded by his loving family and friends on Wednesday, September 25, at his home in Sewell, NJ, after a long and courageous battle with cancer.

A devoted father and husband, Bob loved his family and always made sure they were a big part of his life. His love for his wife Margaret was clearly visible to all who knew him -- he adored her and she made his life complete. He was a proud father to his two children, Michael and Nicholas and he encouraged and supported them through their lives.

Bob was always gracious and humble and most enjoyed the simple things in life. He loved laughing with everyone around him. Bob was an avid Philadelphia sports fan and especially loved cheering on the Eagles. His love of sports began when he was young and he was talented in many activities. He was on the Barrington Little League and on the Tavistock Hills Diving Team. He was a star running back for the Barrington Colts Midget Football Team and continued playing for Haddon Heights High School, in which he graduated from in 1964.

Bob received a Bachelor of Science degree in biology from Iowa Wesleyan University, class of 1969. He was a brother of Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity.

Bob was born on October 14, 1946 in Camden, NJ. He is predeceased by his father, Lewis DiCamillo, and his mother, Clara (Pyffer) DiCamillo and is survived by his wife Margaret and his sons Michael, and his wife Melissa, and Nicholas, and his wife Brittany.  He was also blessed with one grandchild, Hudson, whom he absolutely adored and smiled with until he passed. He is also survived by his three siblings Lewis "Skip"(Joanne) DiCamillo, Kathryn DiCamillo and Susan (Peter) Weber, dear Son-in-law to Anthony and Margaret Garbarino, brother in law of Walter "Corky" (Alice) Garbarino, Donna (Bob) Romond, Tony (Nancy) Garbarino, Michael "Chip" Garbarino  &  Ruth (Joe) Farina. Bob is also survived by many loving cousins, nieces, nephews and friends, all of whom he loved dearly. He will be greatly missed by so many.

Bob’s family would like to extend the sincerest gratitude to the incredible staff of nurses, doctors, and caregivers at Fox Chase Cancer Center who cared for Bob and his family in his final days.
