Rodrigo Abejo, 77, of Blackwood, peacefully passed away with his family by his side on February 1, 20113
Born and raised in Palo Leyte, Philippines, Rodrigo came to the United States in 1973 and earned his citizenship five years later in 1978. Rodrigo worked as a Machinist for Craftex in Philadelphia for many years until his retirement.
Away from his work, Rodrigo enjoyed working in his vegetable garden which was a passion of his. He also enjoyed caring for all of the children in his family; including his own grandchildren, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Rodrigo developed a passion for the local sports teams in the time he lived in the area and he loyally cheered on the Phillies and Eagles through good years and bad.
Most of all, Rodrigo enjoyed the company of his family where countless memories were made. He will be remembered as a loving, husband, father and grandfather to his family.
Rodrigo is the beloved husband of Paz nee Umali; devoted father of Noel and his wife Ersie, Joel and Michael Abejo; cherished brother of Milagros and Benigna Abejo; loving grandfather of 3.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Rodrigo's viewing Thursday evening 6:30 to 9 PM and Friday morning 9:30- 10:15 in the McGUINNESS FUNERAL HOME, 573 Egg Harbor Road, Washington Twp. Sewell, NJ 08080. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday 11 AM in Our Lady of Hope Parish at St. Jude R. C. Church, Black Horse Pike, Blackwood, NJ.
