Obituary of Anthony F Darpino

Anthony "Tony" Darpino, 70, of Bradenton, Florida, passed away on Thursday, October 5, 2017 in Woodstown, New Jersey. Tony was born March 26, 1947 in Woodbury, New Jersey to Anthony and Catherine (Marcone) Darpino. He graduated from Woodbury High School and from Rutgers University. Tony served in the United States Marine Reserves from 1967-1968. Tony worked at AAA Mid-Atlantic for thirty years, during which he made strong friendships that continued well past his departure. After leaving AAA, Tony worked at Keystone Aerial Surveys at the Northeast Philadelphia Airport. Tony, a novice pilot himself, loved working at the airport and chatting with his coworkers about their lives. He relocated to Florida, just near Lido Key Beach, after being diagnosed with cancer. Tony lived out his final years in Florida; relaxing on the beach, volunteering for various organizations, listening to music, dancing with new friends, and caring for his yard. Well-known for his charming smile and wit, Tony touched the lives of everyone he met and will be sorely missed. Tony was pre-deceased by his mother and father as well as his brother Frank Darpino and sister Maryanne Darpino. He is survived by his brother John Darpino and his wife Josephine; brother Max Darpino and wife Denise; daughter, Melissa Darpino and granddaughter Catherine; son Anthony Darpino; and daughter Anna Morris, her husband, Dan Morris, and his grandsons Tyler and Travis; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. A celebration of Tony's life is planned for the evening of November 3, 2017. Please contact the family for details.
