Obituary of Betty Ruth Galvin

Betty Ruth Galvin (nee Ritenbaugh), 98, formerly of Levittown, PA, passed away peacefully with family on Thursday, January 31, 2019.

Legacy

Born in Pittsburgh, she was a resident of Levittown since 1962. She was a member of Saint Michael the Archangel Parish. Her many interests included ceramics, Bingo, playing slot machines, watching soap operas, going on long walks with her husband, and playing with her grandchildren, great grandchildren and grandpuppies. Betty was extremely passionate and caring towards her family throughout her life. She was a proud Navy wife. Betty was the devoted straight woman to her husband’s leprechaun behavior.

Family

She was the beloved Wife of 62 years to the late love of her life, Richard John Galvin; devoted mother of Janice Shaffer (Marlese Polson), Betty Lou Scott (Michael), Barbara Raatzs (Bill) and the late Gail Lynn (Norman). She will be sadly missed by her 8 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

Farewell Tribute

Rite of Committal will be held privately in Washington Crossing National Cemetery next to her beloved husband in the spring.
