Obituary of Nicholas J. DiPietro

Nicholas J. Di Pietro, age 44, of Miami Beach, FL, passed away suddenly on Thursday, December 13, 2018.

Legacy

Born in Stratford, NJ, on February 28, 1974, Nick grew up in Deptford prior to moving overseas. Nick was a graduate of George Dewey High School in the Philippines, where his family had lived for several years. He later moved to the warmer climate of Jacksonville, FL, before finally settling in southern Florida.

For the past several years, Nick was a 200 ton licensed boat Captain. He worked as the mate on the 92 foot “Sweet Tuna”.  A fun loving, easy going and carefree spirit, Nick loved anything involving water.  When he wasn’t working, Nick could be found surfing the waves or heading out to fish.

Family

Nick is the beloved son of Richard J. and the late Barbara A. (nee Michaels) Di Pietro; loving brother of Tracey Mangold and her husband, Ken; devoted uncle of Nathan and Rayna. Nick will also be missed by his adoring girlfriend, Beatrice Whitley, as well as his many aunts, uncles, cousins and countless friends that he made along his journey.

Farewell Tribute

Relatives and friends may visit from 6:00 to 7:30 PM on Thursday, January 17, 2019 at McGuinness Funeral Home, 573 Egg Harbor Rd., Sewell, NJ 08080, where a Celebration of Nick’s Life will begin at 7:30 PM.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Nick’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
