Obituary of Lloyd Thomas Lucas

Lloyd Thomas Lucas “Tom”, 80, of Mickleton, NJ, passed away on Thursday, January 3, 2019.

Legacy

Tom was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather and the best “pop”. He enjoyed cheering on the Eagles and Phillies, and listening to classic Country music and Elvis Gospel. Tom was a true warrior, and despite his many illnesses, he kept going.  He had a strong work ethic and passed that on to his sons. Tom had a strong faith and loved his Christ Church family. 

Family

He is the beloved husband of 55 years to Jean M. (nee Nagle); devoted father of Thomas Lloyd Lucas (Jackie) and Paul Christopher (Lisa); loving grandfather of 8; special brother to Marge Sammons, Shirley Everingham, Arthur Lucas and the late Frank Lucas, Maddy Smith, Joan Thomas, and Norman Lucas; dear uncle to many nieces and nephews. He will be sadly missed by his K-9 companion Bella May.

Farewell Tribute

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his visitation on Wednesday, January 9, 2019 from 6:30 PM – 9:00 PM and on Thursday, January 10, 2019 from 10:00 AM – 10:45 AM in the McGuinness Funeral Home – 34 Hunter St., Woodbury, NJ 08096. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 AM in Christ Episcopal Church. Interment in Eglington Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Building Fund of Christ Church – 62 Delaware St., Woodbury, NJ 08096.
