Obituary of Thomas J McKee

Thomas J. McKee, age 71, of Washington Township, NJ passed away on June 3, 2018.

 

Legacy

Thomas McKee was a lifelong learner, and a man of endless curiosity. He was a voracious reader of literature, science, and cookbooks. He loved his family with great intensity, and always did his best to protect his loved ones. One of his greatest legacies is the impact he left on all of the students that he encouraged throughout his career as a high school teacher and college instructor. Often, former students would reach out to him to let him know about the positive impact that his teaching had on their lives. Tom loved animals and nature, and was most at home with his dogs, and his books, in his garden.

 

Family

Beloved husband of nearly 8 years, and best friend for even longer to Laura A. (née Nardone); Devoted stepfather of James (Stephanie) and Francesca (Steve); Adored son of the late Mary (née Masher) and Thomas J. McKee; Dear brother to Maryanne Erwin (Joseph) and the late Joseph McKee (survived by Millissa); Treasured uncle to Charles, Brigette, and Cèlestine.

 

Farewell Ceremony

Tom’s visitation took place Wednesday at the Church of the Holy Family, 226 Hurffville Rd., Sewell, NJ 08080 followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, then Interment and Military Honors at the Gloucester County Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Williamstown, NJ
