A loving and caring man, Jim dedicated his life to his family. Cherished son of Frank and Mary Marley (nee Wiley). Dear brother of Theresa Marley and the late Frank, Mary, John, Joseph and Rita. Beloved husband for 65 years to Joan Marley (nee Brown); devoted father of James A. Marley, Jr. (Nancy), John Marley (Donna), Joan Matthews (the late Mike), Mary Marley, Cathy Buchanan (Bill), Judy Michaud (the late Al), predeceased by beloved son Timothy Marley. Jim was a proud Poppy to his grandchildren Sarah, Katie, Rita, Rachel, Samantha, Marcy, Rebecca, Molly, Dennis, Debbie, and Lisa; Treasured great-grandfather and great-great grandfather. Jim leaves behind many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Jim was an alumni of Camden Catholic High School where he was president of the Varsity club. After high school Jim joined the Navy and served our country proudly during World War II. Returning from the war Jim attended Hussain College of Art in Philadelphia where he was an outstanding artist. He worked for the Philadelphia railroad and was the Post Master of the Westville Post Office for many years. James was a very proud man of his Irish heritage and his political views. Jim was a generous man and supported community causes big and small and lived a fulfilling and active life until the very end. Jim possessed a great personality and could tell endless stories that made everyone laugh. During his free time Jim could be found in his garden for hours on end. His favorite flower the Iris - which ironically symbolizes wisdom and is considered to represent the rainbow which leads from Earth to heaven. Jim was truly one of a kind and will be greatly missed.
