Obituary of Loretta 'Penny' M. Kaliszewski

Loretta M. ‘Penny’ Kaliszewski, (née Barry) age 57, of Brooklawn, NJ peacefully met the Lord, on March 16, 2018.

Legacy

A loving, caring, generous, and strong woman, Penny dedicated her life to her family, and was a doting mother and grandmother. She was also a devout christian, who enjoyed mass, bible study, and sharing her faith with others.  For much of her life she worked as a legal secretary, but she was most proud of her service to our country in the United States Navy.  As a member, she traveled extensively, particularly enjoying her deployments to Iceland, Italy, and Germany.  Penny also enjoyed leisure travel.  Her most memorable trips included a trip to Israel, where she was baptized in the Jordan River, and a trip to Disney World with her family.  She enjoyed the jersey shore, nature, spending time with friends, taking art classes, crafting, baking, and nutritious juicing.  She will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved her.

Devoted mother of Colleen M. Helder (Robert) and Stephen N. Barry (Danielle); Cherished grandmother of Mackenzie, Jackson, Brayden, and Reese ‘Spider-Man’; Adored daughter of Loretta Barry (née Brown); Dear sister to Bill Barry (Terri), Mary Anne Schorn (Jim), and John Barry (Eileen); Treasured aunt to Lori, Danielle, Amber, Brittany, Megan, and Sean.

Farewell Ceremony

Viewing Friday from 9:30 to 10:45 AM at St. Mary’s RC Church, 426 Monmouth Ave., Gloucester City 08030; Funeral Mass to follow at 11:00 AM.
