Obituary of Jovita C. Espalto
Jovita Catedral Espalto, 101, of Sewell, NJ passed away peacefully on March 16, 2018, surrounded by her family.
Legacy
Born in the Philippines, Jovita was a loving and compassionate wife, mother, and grandmother whose joys included spending time with her family, tending to her beloved vegetable garden, and serving God faithfully in her church. She was a life-long member of Good Hope Baptist Church, which was instrumental in shaping her life. Her dedication to serving the people in church, and especially supporting pastors and missionaries, touched many lives.
She moved to the United States in 1978 where she later became an American citizen. She also continued her involvement in church ministry as an active member of South Jersey Bible Church International. She never stopped opening her heart and home to her many family and friends through her generosity, compassion, and warm hospitality. Her life was reflective of her strong Christian faith and love of Jesus Christ. She lived a long and blessed life and was well loved by so many.

Family
Beloved wife of the late Adriano Espalto. Devoted mother of Jocelyn Espalto, Loda Espalto, Dexter Expalto, Melyn Ikalina (Albert), Nelfa Eleazar (Ted), and the late Abelardo Espalto (Drusilla). Loving Nanay/Lola to her grandchildren Dorothy Espalto, Kenneth Ikalina, Kelly Ikalina, AJ Eleazar, and Ian Eleazar. Preceded in death by her loving parents Balbino and Paula Catedral. She will be greatly missed by her friends and large, extended family, including many nieces and nephews.
Farewell Tribute
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing 5:00PM to 9:00PM on Thursday, March 22nd and Friday, March 23rd in the McGuinness Funeral Home, 573 Egg Harbor Road, Sewell NJ. Please attend her viewing on Saturday, March 24th from 9:00AM to 10:15AM at the South Jersey Bible Church International, 311 Oakcrest Ave., Pitman NJ. Funeral Service to follow at 10:30AM. Interment Hillcrest Memorial Park Sewell NJ.
