Obituary of Charles August Wilke

Charles August Wilke, of Deptford, NJ, passed away on Thursday, February 22, 2018. He was 81.

Legacy

Charles was a wonderful providing father, full of sarcastic humor, and loved to travel to the Gulf with his wife, Patricia. He loved his animals, and had many horses which he adored, especially Cree. Charles was sober for 49 years and a member of AA. He sponsored many recovering alcoholics and shared the program with them. Charles had a very close relationship with his brother Jimmy and was a very dedicated employee,

Family

He is the beloved husband of 43 years to the late Patricia H. (nee Herbig); devoted father of Sharon        T. Mirande (Richard) and Phyllis E. Wilke; loving grandfather of Jessica Lynn Mirande, Richard Charles Mirande, and Eva Rose Wilke-Kiss; brother to James Wilke (Joy), Carol Murphy (James), Patti Wilke, and the late Gertrude Smentkowski.

Farewell Tribute

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his visitation on Wednesday from 6- 9 PM and Thursday from    9 - 10 AM in the McGuinness Funeral Home, 34 Hunter St., Woodbury, NJ 08096. A mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:30 AM in the Holy Angel Parish at St. Patrick’s Church, Woodbury, NJ. Interment in Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington, NJ. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the K.I.S.S Club, 818 N Broad St, Woodbury, NJ 08096, American Cancer Society P.O.
