Obituary of Peter John Chapman

Peter John Chapman, 90, of Woodbury Heights, New Jersey, passed away on January 24, 2018.

 Legacy

A strong, independent and loving man, John was vibrant and full of life.  A devoted family man, John cherished his family and put their needs before his own.  John was a true ladies man, always had a kind word for the ladies.  In his spare time, John enjoyed socializing, dancing and watching Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune.

Born in Philadelphia, John was a resident of Woodbury Heights for 52 years.  He was a man of great faith and loved his parish, Infant Jesus.  John was a proud United States Army Veteran serving during World War II.  From the time John was a teenager, he was a metal finisher in the auto body industry and spent over 50 years of his career at Bellmawr Collission.

Family

He is the beloved husband of the late, Catherine A. (Nee Dunleavy); devoted father of Rosemary (Thomas) Capasso and Kathy (Michael) Sullivan; cherished grandfather of Catherine, Pamela, Megan, Michael, Devin and great grandfather of Jackson.

 Farewell Tribute

Relatives and friends are invited to attend John's visitation on Tuesday, 10:00 - 10:45 AM at Infant Jesus Parish at St. Margaret's RC Church, Third and Beech Street, Woodbury Heights where the Memorial Mass will follow at 11:00 AM.  Interment and Military Honors at Gloucester County Veteran Memorial Cemetery, Williamstown, NJ.
