Obituary of Barbara S. McNally

Barbara S. McNally, (née Stevenson) age 77, of Mantua, NJ on January 5, 2018. Legacy Barbara was born and raised in the Tacony section of Philadelphia and raised a warm and loving family, but always enjoyed the fresh air and warmth of the Cape May beaches. She loved to be surrounded by her grandchildren, and great grandchildren, and of course Jim, Laura and John. Barbara dedicated many years to Glaxo-Smith Kline as an Administrative Assistant, being given the opportunity to travel the world and see China on behalf of her office. She was able to also see England, Ireland, Scotland, France and delight in the cultures of the world. While at home, Barbara enjoyed finding the best deals on QVC, the Home Shopping Network, and was always on the lookout for something to get her grandchildren. Her generosity extended back into the community she loved. She led an Alateen group in the NE Philadelphia region which welcomed over 50 members, offering support to those she wanted to help most. Barbara's faith in Christ carried her through until the end and her love, generosity, kindness, and warmth, will be missed by so many, and treasured by all those she ever met. McNally; Devoted mother of John Grady (Jeani) and Laura McGovern (Gerry); Cherished Mom-Mom of Erin Van Culin (Ryan), Colleen, Leah, Ashley Perrone (Nick), and Shane; Precious Great Grandmother (Mom-Mom) of James, Hannah, Elizabeth, and Lydia; Adored daughter of the late Anne (née Carney) and Frank Stevenson; Dear sister to the late Charles Stevenson; Treasured Aunt to Lynne Gallagher, Joe Stevenson, Janis Stercula; Best friend to Carol Ferdman and Barbara Crescenti; beloved companion to her fur-family: Sheba, Sugar, Tris, and Tess. Farewell Ceremony Barbara will be honored privately by her family.
